Mundo en Acción Texas has been developed with standards at its core. The program is aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Languages Other Than English, Levels I–IV, for Spanish I, Spanish II, Spanish III, and Spanish IV. With a 2026 copyright, it reflects the most recent directives of both state and national education systems.
The program is also fully aligned with the ACTFL World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages, ensuring balanced development across the five key areas: communication, cultures, connections, comparisons, and communities.
Practical Tools to Review and Ensure Standards Alignment
In line with our deep commitment to standards-based instruction, Mundo en Acción Texas equips educators with accessible, intuitive, and powerful tools that make it easy to review, plan, and document standards coverage:
Standards Search Engine Integrated into the eBooks
The interactive eBook includes a fast, user-friendly standards search tool. By clicking the “Search Standards” button, educators can enter the name or code of any TEKS student expectation. The system instantly returns a detailed list of pages and specific activities in which that benchmark is addressed—along with direct links to navigate straight to each activity. This tool is ideal for planning, adapting instruction, or supporting curriculum alignment.

"At the Point of Use" Standards References in the Teacher Edition
Each activity in the Teacher Edition is accompanied by a clear reference to the corresponding ACTFL standards. This allows teachers to maintain full awareness of the learning objectives being addressed and to deliver instruction with clarity and confidence.

Downloadable Standards Correlation Documents
For those who wish to document or work offline with planning and standards alignment, the program provides comprehensive PDF correlation guides with the AP Spanish Language and Culture themes, available below. These documents are designed for easy printing or sharing—an essential tool for coordinators, supervisors, or district reviewers.
